Mísia will spend most of January promoting and performing the programme of her new album "Senhora da Noite".
In Portugal Mísia has started the promotion of her new recording of "Senhora da Noite" on the occasion of a much praised show case which took place at the FNAC Chiado in Lisbon on 22 December. She has been giving a series of interviews for the written press, radio and television. In all of her communication about this work Mísia underlines that this is the first and unique Fado recording with texts exclusively written by women. The choice of repertoire for "Senhora da Noite" was conceived not only to show the great quality but also the diversity and quantity of women writing. There are 13 Fados written 13 authors. Mísia also points to the work of the musician and arranger Carlos Azevedo who is a very knowledgeable of the different music styles including classical music, jazz and Fado. Carlos Azevedo had started his career as a Viola-de-Fado player and as a Fadiste. He has made music arrangements for many Fadistes.
On 11 January Mísia gave a concert followed by numerous curtain calls and standing ovations at the Le Fanal theatre in Saint-Nazaire. Following this the singer returned to her house in Lisbon for the promotion of her upcoming concert in Portugal which is to take place at the prestigious Teatro São Luiz in Lisbon on 4 February. This will be a very special occasion with many guests. There will be the group of musicians which normally accompanies Mísia as well as the musicians Carlos Azevedo, João Bengala and Manuel Rocha who have participated at the recording of this album.

On 27 January, Mísia will travel to Paris for the promotion of the concert which will take place a few days later at the Bataclan on 31 January. The presentation of "Senhora da noite" to the French public at this big concert hall will be in contrast to the series of very intimate concerts Mísia gave last year at mythical Parisian theatre Les Bouffes du Nord.
